Mr.A.Mutyala Raju
as a Senior Social
Worker in different
groups and communities
presently the
Director of SAMEEKARANA
has worked with
different organizations
and lot of experience
with the different
communities on
participatory
level. During
the floods in
1986 in the Godavari
districts, a voluntary
organization by
name ASHA Vijayawada
was inspiration
for the initial
work. He also
left the job in
Hyderabad due
to inspiration
of in the floods
through ASHA and
joined in that
organization with
motive of serving
the poor community
of rural and urban
areas.
Thought
of Establishing
SAMEEKARANA:
Though
working with other
agencies, there
was a longing
desire for doing
something for
the native people,
taking up many
more need-based
activities and
at the same time
employing many
unemployed. This
led for the inception
for SAMEEKARANA.
Our
Vision:
Empowering
rural and urban
downtrodden people,
training them,
and improving
their leadership
qualities to be
decision- makers
they will be placed
in their rightful
place in the society.
Our Mission and
Aims:
To under take
programs for
improving the
living conditions
of weaker sections.
To
provide basic
needs for the
downtrodden
and degraded
in the society
to enjoy the
quality of life
that every one
deserves.
To
create awareness
on identifying
the problems
and finding
solutions on
their own.
To
establish Community
Based Organizations
for Youth and
Women, creating
sustainability
to continue
the works even
after the withdrawal
of
the Organization.
To
establish vocational
and technical
units for women
and youth for
economic
freedom.
To
undertake various
programs on
Health, Education,etc.
To
work on environmental
issues, legal
literacy and
Human rights
