I FEMALE CONDOM SOCIAL MARKETING PROGRAM BY SAMEEKARANA NACO – DFID PROJECT TANUKU
| We initiated this program in the month of December, 2006 |
- Training Program was Conducted by HLFPPT in the Month of November,2006 and Facilitators are Smt Bharthi Project Officer and Smt Lakshmi Master Trainee
|
- The Project Conducted Semi Trainings at Field Level as well as in the peer educators review meetings and other different meetings
|
- The HLFPPT Female Condom Social Marketing Program appointed Female Condom Monitor and give training and she was appointed in the month of December, 2006
|
- In the Month of December, 2006 we Social Marketed Female Condoms 987
|
- In the Month of January, 2007 we ordered indent for 3,000 female condoms but we received at the end of month
|
- In the Month of January, 2007 we are not able to do Social Marketing due to lack of Female Condoms
|
- In the Month of December,2006 on 15th the FC Project Officer visited out Office and interacted with community at field levels
|
- In the Project Officer visit she is happy with our performance at field level by the peer educators and out reach staff
|
- The Female Condom Monitor make field visits to help the Project Manager regarding compile the information time to time.
|
Some Concepts Relating Female Condom Usage Process :
- The partners feel happy movements in the Female Condom usage but they said it more expensive
|
- Even to insert the Condom is some what difficult but providing 100% protection from STI HVI/AIDS
|
- The Community people feels they have weapon like Male Condom in their hands
|
- Some Community people still feel to insert the condom is difficult
|
- In the floating areas the community people is some what difficult in their soliciting places and also thinks time waste process
|
- While the explaining the Female Condom process to the clients they missing some clients while they are in discussions
|
- After sexual inter course they feel some what pain to remove the condom
|
- Some community people feel fear regarding the rings of the female condom
|
- To use female condom in all encounters it is highly expensive says by the community people
|
- While the community suffering STI’s if they use condom they feel some what pain in the stomach and vagina
|

| Activities |
- The organization has conducted rallies in the month of September, 2006 provide comprehensive knowledge and Awarencess on sanitation program.

We are also conducted meetings for Dwarkca Groups, Youth associations and we explained the importance of Nirmala Gram Puraskar.

In the schools and anganawaddi centers we gave importance to the children and explained importance of clothing, bathing and importance of taking care of feet.

We controlled the open toilets system through the village people, youth association, sarpanchs, secretaries of villages and the above said people involved to control the open toilet system regularly.

We conduct ward wise meetings explained the total sanitation system and its importance.

Those who have no lands we constructed Community Sanitation toilets to motivate the people to use the C.S.T.S

We also promoted importance of sanitation through wall paints and sologans in every village.

We are also promoted proper drainage system in the villages to flow the water in a systemic way.

We provided dustbins through the organization with the help of other sponsor for every hose hold to utilize the dustbins, and also promoted the people to utilize the street based dustbins.

Where ever the cattel in the villages we motivated the people to utilize the cattle discharges at fields of the agricultural lands.
- At the same time we conducted base line survey in the preparation villages of Duvva, Pydiparru and we conducted rallies and meetings to bring Awarencess on Total sanitation program.
