2) They have misconception on STD/HIV/AIDS.
3) They need proper knowledge regarding HIV/AIDS and Condom usage.

“The organization working to promote sexual health after needs assessments with Goal to reduce the incidence of STD/HIV/AIDS among sex workers, partners, clients in Tanuku and its surrounding areas”.

Brief note on the Target Area and Target group:
-----------------------------------------------------
Tanuku is the most prominent place for the sex business since ancient times. At the same time in the NH-5 has many industries in this area. The industries are like Sugar factory Oil factories and Textiles. The most of the people came from near by villages from the purpose of business as well as shopping. People also coming from other towns in the sugar cane harvest sessions the lorry drivers and farmers will come to the Tanuku. Hence the town became the center of sex industry in West Godavari district.

At present we have 20 locations and from that locations we have 63 hot spots. In the last year we covered 1391 people from different locations 58% from mobile-based 33% from brothel based and 9% from house based. In this year 2005 – 06 we have to plan meet 300 new population from the same areas. The PSH mobility also is high due to police raids clients availability as well as the role of money is also there. For the psh mobility we have to plan and rectify to find a solution through the target community involvement.
